LISTEN UP, FOLKS!
Introducing DIVE Magazine’s new podcast! To complement each of our magnificent quarterly print issues (available now, don’t forget to check out the subscription link at the end of this newsletter), we’ll be releasing a series of podcasts featuring interviews with the contributors. This month, Douglas David Seifert and Vanessa Mignon talk with Paul Critcher about whales, cephalopods, and why there’s no such thing as ‘octopi’.

Mark ‘Crowley’ Russell rounds up the best on the market for 2019.
GREAT BRITISH BEACH CLEAN 2019
The Marine Conservation Society is hoping more people will volunteer to clean up less litter than in 2018, and is calling on members of the public to adopt their local beach to get the ball rolling for September’s nationwide cleanup event.

Brighton-based Oyster Diving is hosting the scuba diving events at the 2019 Paddle Round the Pier event, Europe’s largest free beach festival held each year in aid of charity. Take a look at what’s on offer, and start practising your underwater discus throwing…!
Antigua & Barbuda has become the second Caribbean nation and the tenth in the world to join the UN’s Green Fins initiative, with newly trained stafff and three more dive centres joining the programme – to be followed, hopefully, by many more.
